It went well and now it is time to recover. Note that this will not take two to three days but, may last for some weeks. Ensure that you have your movies ready because you will be binge-watching for the next few weeks. So, what are the do’s and don’ts after this surgery? We will find out below.
The Do’s.
• Stay Hydrated.
Drinking lots of water during your recovery period is essential. Water can get things moving since constipation is a frequent occurrence after this surgery. It will also reduce the swelling making you heal faster. You should avoid caffeinated and carbonated drinks at first, and alcohol should be avoided entirely.
• Wear A Surgical Bra.
• Massage.
• Sleeping On Your Back.
The Don’ts.
• Do not lift anything that is heavy for the first few weeks after the procedure. This includes your children. As much as you may want to, it is best to avoid it so that you can fasten your healing.
• You should avoid immersing the wound in water for the next six weeks. You should not take a bath unless it is a shallow one, where the breasts are not submerged in the water. The pool and also the hot tubs should be avoided. Under no instances, should your breasts get wet.
